I LOVE these slippers so much that I bought another pair for my Mom for Christmas. They are sooo comfortable. Great support too. I have plantar fasciitis and I've had major reconstructive foot surgery so I need arch support. I also happen to be the manager of a podiatry practice. I've worked in podiatry for 8 years. I know a comfortable shoe when I find one! It's also nice to find a supportive slipper that is also super cute! These fit me exactly true to size. I often buy a size 10 1/2 shoe and I definitely needed the XL for that smidgen of extra space. I know for sure b/c I bought a large for my mom and tried them on. They were just a smidge too small so even tho they looked like a fit, my foot was pressing into the piping at the back edge of the slipper which was very uncomfortable. Lovin' the size XL tho! It made just enough difference to accommodate the half-size without being too big.
