It was packaged in a box the size of a large pizza. The parts are all made of metal, the bottom is made of glass. The best part is that it comes with everything you need to assemble it. It even comes with extra screws for your TV. You don't need any special tools, everything is there. The instructions are very clear, the instructions actually state exactly which part is what and the packets cut match the instructions. So there is no confusion or guesswork as to which part they are talking about. Very nice stable stand with simple assembly instructions. If you need a stand, get this one, you won't be disappointed.
