I have an original PUMIE that I have used for many years but is worn out. Solid and sturdy, this Pumie gets the job done without much mess. The stone is almost indestructible, but I need more for every bathroom. This brand new product from a different manufacturer than the one I purchased which was Revain's Choice just isn't the best quality. I bought it because it has a nice long handle and comes in a 3 pack for a good price. BUT, as soon as you pick it up, the dust will break away from the powder and get onto your hands, and you'll have to rub very hard to get the minerals off. It falls apart quickly. It is much more porous and therefore does not stand up to cleaning. It does remove mineral deposits, however, but with a lot more work, wear and tear and stone dust. I will not buy anymore, I will buy the original "PUMI".
