Basket folds to a clearly visible angle. I thought it was just my imagination until all my friends noticed it too. I decided to take a level and check it out, and it certainly wasn't a figment of my imagination. I first checked the height of the hitch receiver, the basket bar, and then the basket. I went to Lowe's to buy a skirt to put between the handlebars and the hitch receiver to align them. I then measured the basket and it was still crooked. We must seek a master to solve the problem. While we were waiting they had similar baskets for the same price and I compared their baskets. They had a top mount that didn't allow the bar to move any further, which this item couldn't. After the owner fixed it, it is now about 2 inches off the ground. Previously, when I put coolers on it, it sagged even more, and when passing speed bumps, it scraped the ground. I noticed that some people left reviews after my review and they seem very happy with it. I must have had a bad case along with several other people who share my pain; That tells me there is no quality check there to make sure everything is done right. Go to your local trailer shop first as you will find the price is the same as here or maybe 10-20 more. Paying the owner to fix the problem ended up costing more.
