Very pretty and well made but wish it had either a rounded handle on top or finger grips/notches on the sides of the lid. It can be slippery and difficult to get off and I'm afraid one day it will fall off and smash on the ground. Works well for adults. kids, not so much. Update 6 years later: It finally happened as predicted, although at least I'm thankful that it happened after 6 years. Yesterday I lifted the lid to get butter for the toast and the lid slipped out of my hand (since my fingers smeared it on the butter a bit), fell onto the base and broke it into several pieces . This would be an absolutely PERFECT dish if it could be made with little indentations on the sides for a better grip. Now I have to buy another dish, and this time I have to choose another.
