There were not many reliable options. This one is perfect for my phone, the Airpod Pro earbuds and the Apple Watch 6. It usually only charges one at a time (phone) and I've never had trouble finding the right spot to charge my phone like some did on his mentioned smaller base. It has a smaller charging area to properly place the phone to start the charging sequence, but again I never had an issue in the middle of the night before going to bed in the dark to get it working. This is also a plus for me as it fits a variety of cases and phones, the protruding camera hub is never an issue either. It seems that the charging time is a bit longer than other chargers, but it could also be a physical iPhone with built-in software to prevent overcharging, which again isn't really a problem as it's always fully charged in the morning. The light isn't too bright, as is the very faint hum the device produces while charging. I kept my charger about a foot from my head and have never had a problem sleeping. For the money, this is the best branded charger for the iPhone 12 Pro Max or any other phone.
