Installing a modern home theater system with height channels requires LOTS of speaker wire. I've walked over 300 feet of this stuff by inserting a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos enabled system into a 20 x 14 ready room. And since I was trying not to completely destroy the space I had to do some fun runs to get the wires where they needed to be and work around most of the existing drywall. This material was pretty easy to work with, you just have to be careful when removing it so you don't pull too many threads, but other than that it's pretty easy to work with. It's also copper-coated aluminum, not pure copper, so be careful with long runs near the length limit that 14 AWG can handle. I just bought the 4-wire 14AWG version and ran two wires to (+) and two wires to (-) on longer runs where I was approaching length limits. I believe 2 x 14AWG is probably more than enough to overcome the increased resistance of copper clad aluminum. Now that the system is up and running I haven't had any problems with this wire. There doesn't seem to be any problem driving all those surround speakers properly, even at uncomfortably high volumes, and I've encountered no issues with interference from inadequate shielding or other issues that can arise if the cables are undersized or disgusting to do the job , which they are asked for. So be careful how far you run this stuff, or use the two-wire-per-terminal trick for longer runs, and at least in my experience you'll be fine. I don't regret my decision to spend 3x more for pure copper wire.
