For a smaller ring light, this is ideal.
I have a Neewer 18" ring light and wanted something smaller than a traditional tripod to put on my desk. It definitely takes up less desk space than a tripod on your desk, but I think 18 inches is way too much for this small desktop stand. It holds up, but even when I'm typing I can see the light moving with each key press. I could have just switched to a smaller light source because of the trade-off with a larger light source, but a large tripod without my desk makes it easy not worth it.. It's quick to put together and still gets past my two monitors which is perfect.
