I just like the looks. This is a decorative item. Played older, thinner records but skipped them when trying to play thicker records. I've read that this is because it has a small plate and there is no way to balance the arm or adjust the anti-skate. If you really want to listen to your recordings without ruining them, get a more expensive player. I upgraded to Audio-Technica AT-LP120XBT-USB. Works much better! But it has worked to get me hooked on vinyl, and it looks good doing it. For this reason I gave more than one star.
