Review on Remington Ceramic Clipped Curling Purple Hair Care for Styling Tools & Appliances by Dominique Robinson

Creates light curls for owners of short hair; best with long hair; not a good stand

This is a good curling iron, most suitable for people with long hair. Since I have medium length hair, this gave me easy curls. WHAT I LIKE - Heater dial goes from 1 to 30; 1-9 for fine hair; 10-15 for colored; 16-24 for textured; 25-30 for thick or difficult to style hair. (SEE WHAT YOU DON'T LIKE BELOW) - There is an on/off switch. - The light will turn solid red when the desired temperature in numbers (not degrees) is reached. It flashes when it gets hot - I like purple because it suits my bathroom; although I wish it was a bit more metallic and not just a matte deep purple Crayola. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: It doesn't have a good stroke. The protrusion on the bottom is useless and does nothing to keep the hot iron on the counter. The current price of $55.46 is high. The included instructions do not list temperatures for every hair type. The only reason I was able to provide this guide is because I have a curling iron from the same company that lists hair types and associated settings in their guide. My hair frizzed, but only with slight curls. That was because I have short hair. On first use I really smelled a burning odor characteristic of the first heating of the keg. This was to be expected. This is perfect for long hair but works well on medium hair too. The lack of a usable counter stop is annoying. In addition, the price bites a little.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • some little things
