My wife wanted to paint her garage door and started with a paint scraper. It's like trying to clear a driveway with a teaspoon after a snowy story. I wanted to wait until spring; She wanted to make it before winter so I bought her this thing. She sanded the entire garage door in about half an hour and most of the sanding wheel was still there. Since she had never used a rotary sander before, I showed her how to apply the right amount of light pressure on the work surface to allow the sanding disc to do all the work. The end result is that by not pushing too hard on the tool, it didn't "run away" from her and the disc was easy to remove. I wouldn't put it in the same league as a commercial device, but for the price, it's not a bad deal. Better than spending 12 hours sanding/scratching an old garage door. She's happy and that's what matters! She deserves my best!
