Pretty easy and very cheap!

later These T10 lampholders have many general uses. As for me, I replaced some outdated bulb holders on my 1980 Triumph TR7. We are talking about an external lighting of the heating control that had no factory lighting. Using the original bulbs through the old green lens openings produced very poor light. Originally, Lucas 286 lamps were used, but they could be replaced with BA7S LED lamps. The problem is that the BA7S LED bulbs I found are complete rubbish and produce even less light than 40 year old standard incandescent bulbs! The only option was to slightly change the lighting system. I would use good light blue T10 LED bulbs and five of them. Four lamps are required for the heater and one for the cigarette lighter. Since they are larger than the original sockets and bulbs, I removed the original metal brackets for the heater bulbs and enlarged the cigarette lighter socket bulb clamp to hold one. Sockets with LED bulbs. I then cut the factory wires from the source and added a quick connect connector. I have saved and packaged all the parts so that they can be quickly restored to the factory original should the need arise (always a good idea!). I then attached new wires to the lamp sockets and used a hot glue gun to attach the four heater sockets. The hot glue gun wasn't my first choice, but it was quick and easy to remove and worked really well. I then put in the T10 LEDs and reassembled the dash. These connectors worked great and did exactly what I wanted, although that wasn't their original intent when I bought them. My overall instrument lighting is now a bright but appealing blue, which is a huge improvement over the factory's barely noticeable dim green lighting. I wanted to give an example of a million and a use for these outlets. Whether you want to add some under-dash lights, extra trunk lights, or whatever, they're cheap and easy to install. T10 lightbulbs are also widely available and relatively cheap, and adding up to six bulbs in different areas of your car is probably cheaper than the cost of eating a Big Mac at McDonald's. All I can say is that I need to order more of these. again because I have more lighting ideas I want to try.
