This is truly a stunning necklace. I thought it would be so-so in terms of quality as the price was pretty low, but I'm actually quite happy with it. There are 25 twisted strands with a mix of tiny glass beads of different colors and shapes - clear, white, ivory, gold, silver and dark amber + some round, some tubular and some rectangular. There are also several cases of irregular shape. They all catch the light differently, so the effect is really nice. Lots of strands make for a complete look and while I wouldn't say the necklace is heavy, it has a nice weight. Sometimes the chains are a bit bigger and flashier than I would like, and sometimes they're too small and delicate. It just depends on the case and can be hard to see when buying online, even with pictures. To give an idea of the effect of this necklace, when all the strands are laid out side by side on a table the necklace is about 3 inches wide and when worn it is about 1 inch in diameter. So I'd say it's something of a spectacular choker, but I don't think it's completely distasteful. I noticed that the descriptions of most of the jewelry in this line are not detailed enough and many of them do not contain pictures of a model with a necklace or at least a neck doll, which I think is very important when choosing. At least for this necklace, a picture was included showing the length of the neck figure, so I knew I would get the short necklace I prefer. This necklace is 20 inches long not including an extension which would add another 2 inches or so and on me the fit is very close to what is shown on the neck dummy. I also think the photos show pretty well how the necklace actually looks (which isn't always the case). One of my criticisms of this brand is that while the handcrafted beadwork appears to be of very good quality, there is often inferior hardware that makes an otherwise very good piece of jewelry cheap. It's not just a question of looks, because you can't see the hardware anyway, but also a question of functionality. In this case, I didn't have to pinch or patch any gaps in the rings that hold or attach to the clasp (I've had to do this on some other Richera necklaces before putting them on to make sure they don't fall apart). ). Overall I think the current price of $12.99 for this necklace is more than reasonable - it's much better than I expected for the price, it's very detailed and quite pretty. It is comfortable to wear and I know I will choose it often. This will go very well with most of my work and casual wear. As the name suggests, this is truly my favorite of the entire line.
