I have a 5.1 Pro Cinema 800 surround sound system from Definitive Technology and I brought these speakers to update the side speakers with these bipolar surround speakers. And what difference does it make what your installation is. They surround you with sound effects throughout the room. Designed to fit Definitive Technology's much larger speakers, these speakers complement the smaller speakers very well. The speakers themselves are smaller than the Pro Cinema, still an inch tweeter but smaller woofer, x4 per speaker, two tweeters and two woofers. After tuning my receiver, the audio wasn't overly powerful or bright on the sides. War movies benefit from these speakers and natural sounds.
