I've wanted to try felting for a long time. Decided to try these sets. To be honest I watched the video of him and got scared. I have crochet experience but only following instructions. Felting is rather abstract and the instructions serve as a guide. I figured what the hell, I'll try anyway. To be honest, the instructions were pretty easy. The essence of felting is to twist the wool tighter and tighter with needles. You can easily shape them by adding more yarn. So don't worry if something isn't perfect. I would say better go down a size as you can always shape more yarn and make it bigger, but you can't really take it away. It was very easy, it took a while but I made it through my video lectures and watching Netflix. It's very relaxing until you nudge yourself! Finger and thumb guards are included but I rarely used them but it resulted in a few skin sticking and bleeding! Oops! Comes with a foam block. DO NOT THROW! I thought it was just filler for shipping, in fact you will be using the foam block in shaping and crafting the project's components. It was a lot of fun and it had everything you need! This is a great set and I will definitely be buying more.
