I bought the white Yamazaki Home Web cable box as "used" for $27.99. (Which basically meant it was just reboxed.) I know it's weird to talk about a cable box, but it's simple. Pretty. ๐There are many options for cable boxes and many of them are much cheaper, but I think this one is worth the extra cost (to clarify: it's worth what I paid. I still don't think $40 is reasonable are). This brand is of exceptionally high quality. It's not just a cheap, run-of-the-mill plastic box. This one is thick and durable. In addition, the lid remains closed! I think you could probably step on that box and you'd be fine. I used this box along with Dotz Pro Cord & Cable labels (to identify the cables) and some self-adhesive cable clips (to route/hold the cables in place). at my desk) and some cable turtles (to adjust cable length). The whole system worked phenomenally! For the first time in history. No cables are visible on my desk! It also allowed me to create a system that is easy to disassemble, modify, or replicate. Tip: A professional organizer taught me to think of a cable box like a box. You can't just shove everything in and expect it to work. So plan your cable placement carefully; for example: the direction of the cables and the order in which they are connected.
