Bought a size larger than my daughter's current size based on other reviews. There is little room to grow behind the toes, but they fit perfectly in width. The velcro doesn't cause them any problems. My daughter loves her. I love that the mesh keeps the pebbles off their shoes. When she wears regular sandals, stones get stuck in them, injuring her feet. I told her these shoes were her "Sunshine Shoes," so now she randomly says "Sunshine Shoes!" while they're at it. It's damn cute 😍.
