First and foremost this is a very durable product. Wheelbase and steering ratio are tuned for safety. Second, it is very easy to assemble if you READ the instructions carefully before starting the process and then follow them using the PICTURES in the guide as well as the text. The only possible missing information is to tighten the wheelset with BOTH special wrenches at the same time to get a very tight/snug fit. That's why they offer TWO of them. Finally the size is perfect for a one year old and as several reviews have shown, when my granddaughter got the idea to push off with her feet she was absolutely in love with this bike and it was hard to get off. Again, remember to stay close and follow the new user for a few days. The bike isn't the problem, it's the children who haven't learned how to balance yet. I highly recommend this product.
