It arrived in good condition and looked good, although the base is very plastic. The assembly revealed one big mistake and a few minor issues. A major downside is that the cast base just doesn't hold the pole upright, it deviates more than 2 inches from the plumb line at the top. I thought about sending it back but ended up spending about an hour making 3 spacers to line it up. Another problem was the metal pipes. All had holes drilled in the bottom for mounting, and all of those holes had to be deburred on the inside to go through the holes in the two wooden rings. Pushing them through without deburring will likely result in splitting of one or both collars as mentioned in other reviews. I'm concluding that some items sold at heavily discounted prices here at Revain are actually worth seconds and that explains the discount. Definitely not all, but this article almost certainly is one. I hope Revane pays attention to these types of complaints.
