I am very happy with this monitor. I really wanted to be able to work with a laptop on my lap, but this monitor is clearly not suitable for that. I don't think they explain it well enough in their marketing. This is VERY clear in their installation guide. My solution to this was a lap table so the monitor would have a solid surface to place it on. The magnets are not strong enough (or rated) to hold the monitor alone. As it turns out, my ASUS laptop had just enough protrusion behind the screen for the monitor pixels to rest. So I don't really need a lap table, but I love the setup so much I'm going to keep it anyway. I hope that the next version of this monitor will include better cable management. It would be nice if the design included a small channel for laying wires. In my case I will never be able to add a third monitor but that is due to the design of my laptop. The bar on the back is filled with one, so the second is too thick. Maybe one day they will come up with a design where the base fits over the existing screen. Messy cords aside, this is a great little monitor and a fantastic power amp. I've had other portable monitors, but this setup makes them far more useful than standalone monitors. I am very happy with my purchase.
