I have bought so many uncomfortable, poor quality socks and returned, donated or thrown away. These merino socks are a real find. toes. without annoying bumps and bumpy seams. heels. fit where they should. Ankle. not too tight. Length. perfect to look over the ankle boot. I wear size 9 women's shoes and the socks were a bit large right out of the box, but I washed them in cold water and let them air dry. They settled a bit but didn't lose any of their softness or elasticity. I will definitely order more. I don't know if the small "z" emblem should be on the inside or outside of the ankle, but it doesn't affect the fit either way.
