Please ignore comments about a malfunctioning or defective dispenser. The problem is that the product can stick a little to the inside of the container during storage. The knob on the bottom isn't a high-tech item; If the product sticks, the dial will pop out but the product won't. All you have to do is press firmly on the first set until the product releases the container handle. This prevents the dial from moving backwards and eventually pushes the product far enough to free the container from gripping. After that, it works flawlessly without the extra hassle associated with the first dosing process. I've bought it several times and almost every time (even buying from a retail store) I've had this problem and the above method has worked every time. The product itself, I like the light fresh scent and it doesn't clash with a cologne I could use at the same time. Its antiperspirant properties are also very good.
