I'm as skinny as can be, and they actually sewed it on to make it more snug, which is expected. Many other grooms ordered large sizes (2xl) which didn't fit. The pockets are sewn on, although they are actually inside pockets. The color is nice and the bow tie fits my thin neck well, although I don't know if it would work very well if my neck was a little bigger as it would be almost full length. I don't know if fly sizes change based on vest size.
