I was excited to try this relatively inexpensive upgrade to improve the 1080 signal from my 60ft run between AVR and TV. In the end I was disappointed. My setup is an Xfinity 4k box --> cable is HDMI Premium certified --> Yamaha 4k AVR --> cable is HDMI Premium certified --> Orei extender --> Shielded Cat6 cable --> Cable is premium quality HDMI certified - -> Sony 4k Bravia It only worked intermittently, sometimes turned off in the middle of a show or movie, sometimes worked fine for a few hours - it worked and then stopped and caught up back to work for a while. Sometimes it just wouldn't turn on, the system turned on and there was no picture or sound. I tried getting Amazon tech support who said they couldn't help because Orei tech support was closed so I tried to replace the unit in case I had a manufacturing defect. I had the same issue with the replacement, leading me to believe it just wouldn't work with the hardware I had. (Which is weird because I don't think I'm using anything really fancy.) I may have done something wrong, but the manual didn't help, and neither did support.
