Flawless performance

Combination of various video signals from 720P to 4K (HDMI switch output), communication works very well. 4K HDR works flawlessly. The only resolution I've had trouble working with is using an Apple TV 4K with Dolby Vision. I'm not sure if it doesn't pass through 4:4:4 or not. Additional investigations are required. Overall I'm happy with it.

Works as it should - very simple

I needed several of these to extend some HDMI channels for security monitors in my business. They work GREAT! Straight out of the box, no problems. The only slight confusion: both blocks have a power connection, but there is only one power supply. But you can just turn on both ends (I powered the transmitter) and the other end will be powered through the CAT cable. Great performance - great price.

Works but expensive in video converters

Update: 6/5/2020 was 5 stars. It has a little bit of static and the HDMI has been updated so it's annoying and still is, but the most annoying thing is the audio cuts out for a few seconds every few minutes. I would hate to return this because I spent so much installing ports and ethernet. Good product. I wish it was a lot cheaper, don't know why it's so expensive, but it works really well. Can't say it's worth the money unless you're rich, but it works as advertised.

Saves money! fits AV accessories

I use this to watch DirecTV in my bedroom with HDMI2 or my Denon receiver. (In fact, I can watch any source from my living room). It works exactly as expected with a nice picture and sends my IR signal out of the bedroom to control my DirecTV receiver. My only request would be that it has a 3-way IR splitter so it can control the Xbox UHD drive and AV receiver. Now I don't need a separate DirecTV receiver ($7/month) to see what's recorded on my DVR. Very easy to use. Looks like a good build but

Good alternative to HDMI cable

I installed a brand new 65" Samsung QLED TV above my fireplace where there were no cable connections. I ran a line from the attic to the closet where my cable box and surround sound receiver are located. This setup allows me to run an ethernet cable through the wall where the TV is mounted. The HDMI connector doesn't fit the conduit, so I used this unit and a 25" shielded ethernet cable to connect my receiver. for TV I've been using this for 7 months with no problems and the picture is…

Not quite as advertised

Don't get me wrong, this device suits me. However, this doesn't seem to be working as advertised. I cannot support 60Hz in 4K resolution. I need to lower it to 50Hz for a stable picture. 1080p is also unstable at 120Hz. I need to lower the frequency to 100 Hz. I was looking forward to a good 4k picture at 60Hz but this product doesn't seem to offer that. For reference, I'm using this with a 50ft Category 6 cable with 6ft HDMI cables on both ends. And as instructed, the transmitter receives…

Works well but doesn't resume after display goes to sleep

Extension works well, picture quality is good, no flickering or dropouts that I haven't noticed yet. What's particularly annoying is that if the computer goes to sleep and the display turns off, it won't wake up when the computer wakes up. I have to physically turn the transmitter off and on again, then the screen wakes up. Not sure why this is, I used to have another product that only supported 1920x1080 but the display still woke up when the computer woke up. This is a pretty big…

Didn't work, tried two units

I was excited to try this relatively inexpensive upgrade to improve the 1080 signal from my 60ft run between AVR and TV. In the end I was disappointed. My setup is an Xfinity 4k box --> cable is HDMI Premium certified --> Yamaha 4k AVR --> cable is HDMI Premium certified --> Orei extender --> Shielded Cat6 cable --> Cable is premium quality HDMI certified - -> Sony 4k Bravia It only worked intermittently, sometimes turned off in the middle of a show or movie, sometimes…

Unstable signal transmission

So I have a fairly advanced home network (gigabit connection, several mesh networks and devices connected to Wazoo) and during construction the house was connected with category 6 shielded cables. Transponder, I tried it to send a dual video stream from the main multiroom DVR, basically at the recording level to my home theater room. Video over the network seems to be the ideal option at the moment, as the runtime is at least 100 minutes. So here is an "overview" of the OREI 4k extender: when a
