These tests are the BEST. After the hormonal contraceptives were abolished, menstruation became very irregular. We tried for several months without success. I didn't know when or if I ovulated. I think I missed the LH surge in the first month, but in the second month when I noticed an increase in dark lines, I checked twice a day and located the LH surge. That was my last ovulation and we are pregnant! (so the second month that we used these, we conceptualized). Pregnancy tests are MUCH more sensitive than the dollar store brand. With these tests I got my first (very) weak positive result at 9 dpo and the line continued to (slowly) darken. We recommend. You also don't have to be frustrated with early/frequent testing since they are so affordable.
