I still have the first brace I bought after tearing my meniscus in a horseback riding accident in 2005. I converted them in 2010 and since then have been wearing this brace every time I ride the show jumping saddle (I compete in hunting/show jumping and eventing). The orthosis is still in great condition, only slight damage to the neoprene from zippers in my high boots (easy to repair with adhesive tape). Last year I tore my MCL on my other knee while playing roller derby. Now I wear these braces under my knee pads on both knees when I play derby. super support. The Velcro is very strong and resists dirt, sweat, hay and horsehair. My only (slight) complaint is that black clothes can stain (be careful if you wear them over light pants).
