A great option to replace the hood trim!

I used this kit to replace a sagging hood panel on my VW Jetta TDi; MK5 (from 2005 to 2010). I have 2006. Just a few step-by-step tips: 1. Remove the old liner and leave it as intact as possible (you will use it in the next steps). I had braces (you may have others), be careful. 2. Thoroughly clean/wash the inside of the hood. Dry with blower/towel.3. Lay the old liner on top of this replacement liner on the floor, noting the orientation in which it will be installed. This means you will track it with a marker. So I took it off and lined it up exactly how it should come back. It is important; because you only get one chance. Take your time and think about it.4. Cut out the track you created in step 3 above.5. Cut your neckline down to the hood; and "Dry Fit" to test the fit.6. Peel off the adhesive on one side only (say 6 inches or so) while holding the backing in place. My hood had a corner cut out; So I used that to orient the material. Then slowly but gently press the material against the hood; when removing the adhesive film from side to side. I did left to right; because my fillet was on the left side. You could technically do it from either side. This whole process only took about 15 minutes; and it was the first time I did it.
