My wife and I have been using the projector as a TV for several years and will probably never buy a TV again as we think it is the best display option for the money. I consider this projector to be a very valuable and useful piece of equipment. I currently have this device installed in my bedroom. Out of the box, the device is easy to set up. Put the batteries in the included remote control, just plug it in and turn it on. In my tests, I used the HDMI connection as the audio and video source. I had a very nice sharp picture on a 100 inch screen; Focusing and scaling the image to fit the screen was pretty easy. I was very surprised by the quality and brightness of the picture, since there were no thick curtains in the room and the sun was quite bright at that time. Even with enough ambient light in the room, images were bright and sharp, and colors were excellent. Both were even better at night. I think this is a great projector for me. inexpensive projector for your family.
