I bought the small size for my 27 lb puggle and they fit perfectly. He is 11 years old and after a recent onset of disc disease he started slipping on our hardwood floors so far that I was concerned he might injure his back again. Given the cheap price, I decided to give them a try before moving on to more expensive options. We only use them on his hind legs where he has trouble getting a foothold, but surprisingly he latched onto them immediately and didn't try to rip them off with his mouth, nor did he walk in them weirdly. I've had the best success by pulling them up over his ankle(?) as high as possible, fastening the velcro as tightly as possible without cutting off blood flow just below the black edge of the sock, and folding the top edge up. black border with velcro. When the socks slide down, the whole sock is gone, so we have no way for the velcro to get stuck in his skin. They stay up forever so I probably wouldn't let him roam the house alone in them, but for now they're giving him independence while we're home all the time during the pandemic. If anything, I wish they were a little longer so I have more wiggle room when tearing and folding the top layer.
