We weren't sure we'd like this and I honestly don't think I wished it was heavier but it gives you a nice comfortable weight that doesn't is too much and not too small. I personally use it maybe 80% of the time. The only downside I see is that tossing and turning a bit will give you a night workout of sorts if you set it up appropriately.
