too heavy too hot not enough stitches

I followed the company's directions and ordered 10% of my body weight plus an extra 1lb. This blanket was too heavy. I felt suffocated. Also, there weren't enough loops on the duvet to attach it to the duvet cover of the same brand. As a result, the ceiling has shifted and clumped within the ceiling. Finally, the duvet/bread (soft blanket) was too hot. Tried this out a couple of nights in a room chilled to 71 degrees, using a duvet and duvet combo with just a thin sheet underneath. I woke up drenched in sweat every night.
