Overall the item was lighter than I thought due to the cheap wood used as the base. It was actually good because my biggest concern was being able to cut straight leaves. Unfortunately, this paper cutter doesn't do that at all. The guide that is designed to hold the paper in place will ultimately be cut by the blade since both the blade and the guide are not straight. The blade leans to the left I believe because it is held in the locked position with a leftward force. The guide is square instead of straight for some reason, which not only renders it useless but directly gets in the way of the blade. It was a waste of money and I'm so disappointed that it didn't. Open and test immediately, but leave after the return period. Please don't repeat my mistake, DO NOT BUY.
