Instructions: This microphone is plug and play! I've successfully tested it with both Windows 10 and my Android phone using the included USB-A female to USB-C male adapter (very well thought out!). Both are recognized immediately and switched to microphone as the default microphone input. I attached the adapted cable to the stand with a rubber band so that it wouldn't get lost. Pros: * Good, clean sound. Pops, hisses, or other audio artifacts or distortions. * Captures speech, singing, African drumming and beatboxing equally well. * The controls are simple and effective - volume controls for both mic in and headphone out, and mute work great and are EXTREMELY useful! * You can connect headphones directly to the microphone to control the input. Extremely useful when using one mic for both announcements/PA and live vocals! I love this feature. *Comes with an extra long and shielded USB-C male to USB-A male cable for data and power! * Can be used with your phone! * Mute button * Volume down - this was difficult to test as the mic picks up sound intended for the mic so well it was difficult to even get any decent background noise, but the volume down worked as intended to block out that background noise eliminate I could create. This mic's heart-shaped close-range pickup profile works better than any active noise-cancellation to cut out unwanted background noise! Cons: * The echo feature is only useful for karaoke. At the lowest level, it's pretty serious. However, it's nice to have! * Cheap plastic construction (what else would you expect for $30?). HOWEVER, the brackets that hold the mic in the stand are METAL and EASILY REMOVED! Allows you to easily remove the mic from the stand and hold it in your hand for singing live or interviewing people! It also allows you to easily adjust the tension at which the microphone is rotated in the stand. This microphone is ideal for: podcasting, singing, music playback and virtual learning. Suggestions for improvement: For another model, it would be really cool to add Bluetooth connectivity so I could control the mic input with my Bluetooth headphones that everyone uses these days. It would also be very useful to add an extra extension to extend the mic further from the base for better positioning. I'll admit these features would be at a different price point and a fundamentally different product, but they're the only ones I miss. For the price I couldn't have asked for more. It works very well and exactly as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it works with my phone, which is great as I can use the various music apps I already have with this product without having to find them on my computer. It also means I can work on my music anywhere, and the small mic is easy to take with me. I just wish it had some sort of case to protect it while carrying it. 10/10!
