Monitors are pretty basic. Not much has changed since the move to full-color monitors. This is junk. I bought it for a backup computer at work. We recently added a table to our office and put it into service (kept indoors, temp controlled in original packaging for 5 months). The power button is right where the average person would take it to set it, so that was a minor issue. , but the HDMI cable kept falling out of the monitor, so I bought an old-fashioned pin connector. Then we found that if you moved the monitor, adjusted it, closed the office door too tightly, or breathed on it, the power cord would fall out. I've replaced the power cord twice, but it just won't stay up. The display wasn't particularly bright or sharp even when it was running. Right now I don't use my regular 2 monitors on my desk and will probably never buy HP again. .That is trash. I wish I had spent the few bucks more on something else or went with a generic model.
