I have a second Nintendo Switch that I use exclusively for homebrew and I use it to boot it into RCM mode. I've used this many times and it hasn't broken yet so consider how little it costs to buy it I'd say it's a great buy. I've seen many other people damage or break their Nintendo Switch while trying to make and use their RCM device.
