Review on Cool and Fun Craftmade 48-Inch Kids Ceiling Fan: Boys WB348TS Tiger Shark Warplane With Light by Christin Barajas

Bought for my son's bedroom. Thought something unusual would be nice. The fan seems to be of pretty decent quality and it's REALLY hard to tell if the blades are real wood or plastic and woodworking is one of my hobbies! Turns out they're plastic. They removed the old fan and installed it in about an hour. Very easy installation. The mounting hardware is of good quality and the bracket that attaches to the ceiling box has a hook so you can hang the motor on it while you do the wiring. With only two blades, the fan doesn't move. a lot of air, so this fan is only good for a small room. Low speed is useless for air movement, it's only for atmosphere. :) Medium is normal, high is pretty good. When changing the fan speed, the relay in the fan can be heard clicking, but the fan is very quiet. The included 50W halogen light is adjustable but doesn't emit much light at maximum brightness. So plan on having some desk lamps if you plan to read or work on something that requires good eyesight. It doesn't look like you can fit a 100 watt lightbulb in it. A metal bracket is attached to the tip of the bulb to prevent the installation of a longer bulb. It would be nice if you could use a regular compact fluorescent bulb instead of the tiny halogen bulb that comes with it, but that's exactly what you get with a fan like this. All in all, this is a good fan. I hope my son likes it.
