I am gradually switching to LED lights throughout my house. When I saw this pack of 6 BR30 dimmable bulbs from LE. I thought they could replace the 65 watt lightbulbs in our kitchen. Well they do and they don't. LE bulbs fit and work. They dim and we found no buzz. They are made of plastic with an opaque plastic cover for the lens. I like it because it looks more like a glow. The problem is that at 5000K daylight they are white. You cannot turn them on in our kitchen; it's just too white/bright! I think we need 2700/3000K tubes for our purpose. I know it's a matter of taste, but I don't recommend them for the kitchen. They make it as bright as an operating room. The company includes a small card with company contact information in case any problems arise. I don't understand how companies rate their lamps. They claim their output is 650 lumens which is equivalent to a 65 watt incandescent bulb. If you're looking for lumens in watts, a 65 watt light bulb puts out about 900 lumens. However, these bulbs are brighter than any 60 watt bulb I've ever seen (brighter than a 100 watt bulb). These LED bulbs are rated for 11,000 hours of use (3 hours per day x 10 years). Many companies claim even more. In my experience, many of my LED bulbs have burned out much quicker than they claim. I see no written or implied warranties here in the event of premature failure. I give these LE BR30 bulbs at 5000K ββββ. They work fine. They are dimmable and do not hum. They are bright and give a lot of light, but too bright for my liking.
