Bought for my almost 3 year old son. He's about 3 feet tall, maybe 3-1/2 feet tall. Even with the seat all the way up, it's still about 3-4 inches from the pedals when fully extended, allowing it to sit higher in the seat for pedaling. The seat can be adjusted in 1.5 inch increments. The chain and sprocket are directly connected to the pedals. So when you pedal forward, you pedal forward. You step backwards, you ride backwards. Also note that the rear right wheel is the only wheel that turns on when you pedal. The other three wheels rotate freely for balance. At the same time, these are pedal-powered karts for only 1 wheel. The electronic brake is amazingly effective. The steering is great. PVC pipe that connects it between the bars under the seat and attaches an auxiliary bike handle to it so you can push and pull them instead of bending over because after a while while pedaling uphill your kid is likely to get tired. photo I took it apart and repainted it my son's favorite color and also painted the wheels black to customize it for him.
