This side table is useful and can be thrown over the armrest of the sofa to put your drink there, or as a table that can be pushed under the bed so that I have a place to put work or books or coffee out of bed. Assembling took seconds. There just isn't that much. I found it to be quite solid, although it's certainly easier to tip over than something with four legs. It's fairly balanced in weight and we've never had a problem with accidental spills. It's so light and slips under things so it really doesn't take up much floor space and isn't difficult to move. It's just a simulated veneer finish and black frame, but it matches our nicer furniture and fits perfectly into a nicer home and living room. None of the cheap furniture issues were a problem. The pre-drilled holes are there. There was no foreign smell. The black parts do not tolerate paint. It's just a simple, honestly made side table.
