I bought these bulbs to replace some old halogen bulbs that were built into a piece of furniture. They arrived well packaged, nothing damaged, everything works. In terms of light source and/or light quality, they are clearly superior to halogens. Not only do halogens get hotter, use more electricity, have a warmer light quality overall, but after working with them for a while I found out why one room in the house was always +10F warmer than the rest! Three small halogen bulbs. They were warm white, but they were also literally warm white (e.g. IF I swapped a halogen for another halogen BUT accidentally bought a higher wattage, where are they? THEN it would be either guaranteed fire or guaranteed thermal shock. That Also, I'm not a big fan of 3000K warm incandescent bulbs, which seem to be standard with halogens.(?).5000K I can live with, but these are 6500K LED bulbs. Medium/E26 base and low profile - 22.8 Years Estimated Life and 2 Year Warranty. Sounds perfect to me! LEDs aren't quite the initial cost they used to be. You could give a 1 year warranty and I'd be just as excited. Anyway. Yes, I certainly would Case recommend replacing the halogen bulbs with LEDs, they are much better.
