I'm glad I bought this set. It was a hit with several people at the party. This is a medium sized set, so the kubb blocks are slightly smaller and harder to hit. It also makes transport a little easier. The quality of the set I received is really good. All batons except one have an open knot. At the moment it lasted about six hours of playtime. The finish on them is perfect. not rough, but not too smooth either. The bag is nice and looks like it will hold up well for a while. It came with instructions that were fine. I suggest people watch tutorial videos for this game to understand the basic rules and some rule variations. The field size can be scaled to make the game easier or more difficult. After a few games with new players, we moved the backlines one foot at a time and kept the width as specified in the guide. The team that lost at the beginning of the draw chooses a side. The first team throws 2 sticks. The second team throws 4, then 6 sticks for each team. These rules seem to have made the game more fun. I only hope for support if one of the batons breaks and I need a replacement.
