We have two Christmas parties, one anniversary party and one New Year's party at our house this year and my wife wanted to add karaoke. In a previous life I was an audio engineer and producer, so I already have a lot of music equipment. So I dug out my portable PA, but didn't want the cables pulled or people throwing away my expensive mics, so I figured it would be fun to pick up some cheap wireless ones. I paid $75 for two mics and a wireless receiver so I didn't expect much in my opinion as almost all of my mics cost twice as much and go further. They actually sound very respectable for their price. The WiFi function works incredibly well. I just activated everything and everything worked without any tweaks or changes. The sound is very acceptable, the range is excellent, the controls are ridiculously simple. My only minor complaint is the noise you get when you pass microphones. But it's a good compromise. We're officially rolling it out this weekend, but my beta testers were having a hard time getting it to stall. Really fun and very handy for performances, karaoke or even band rehearsals. It is also very practical to be able to output the sound individually or as a single mix. Many of the other options do one or the other and limit your options, which is why I've focused on those over the others.
