it functions. suction isn't all that terrific, but fine for most things. seals decently. comes with extra gasket and a hose and fitting for vac-sealing containers.kind of clunky to use, have to push down both ends hard to lock it before vac/seal.largest bag you can use isn't really big enough for bulky items like a decent size roast, or even small whole chicken. can make a bag as long as you want, but max width is about same as a gallon ziploc bag, not really ideal for bulk freezing. fine for steaks, chicken parts ect
