This could be the perfect easel! I'm sure there is something less than perfect, but I haven't found it yet. When I opened it I was very pleasantly surprised to see that all of the items were very well packaged in cloth-like pouches. It was a great relief not to see a regular box full of bubble wrap and/or styrofoam. It was very easy to assemble in less than 20 minutes. All necessary hardware was present and all holes matched perfectly. with loose assembly and subsequent tightening. An 18 inch paper roll is included and very easy to install! The size is amazing. This was purchased as part of my daughter's 4th birthday present. She is a tall 4 year old at 40 inches plus. Most of the easels I looked at seemed either too small or too big. It will be perfect for her now and at least for a few years. After reading a few other reviews here or elsewhere, I learned that chalkboards need to be "seasoned" before use by marking long paths all over the chalkboard with chalk. I did this and the board works great. The chalkboard and whiteboard are non-magnetic, although the easel comes with a magnetic eraser. Seems strong enough. I don't expect it to break during use as it doesn't fold, but it's not overly large or bulky.
