Sharp needles are always on hand so a new needle can always be used when needed
Sometimes I didn't think about changing the needle often enough due to the limited number of needles. I felt like I had to "save" the needles in case one broke. Now I change them more often when I feel the needle is affecting the quality of my sewing.
