📍 Highly Precise SCHMETZ Microtex (Sharp) Sewing Machine Needles - Bulk Pack - Size 80/12 Review

Sometimes I didn't think about changing the needle often enough due to the limited number of needles. I felt like I had to "save" the needles in case one broke. Now I change them more often when I feel the needle is affecting the quality of my sewing.

I'm not sure if these needles are actually Microtex. I broke 3 on a project. This has never happened to the ones I get straight from the store. Is this false advertising? Are they really Microtex? Even the colors of the dyed ribbon at the tip of the needle are slightly different.

In the fall of 2017 I took quilting classes. My instructor recommended Schmetz Microtex needles as the best machine sewing needles. I started with a small five pack and was very happy with how good these needles are. I use them for quilting as well as general sewing (hems, curtains, etc.). I thought it would be a good idea to have a bunch on hand. This collective packaging is of great value. Five packs average at least $5, which is about half the regular price.
