Review on Rolling Gears Pockets Blocking Anti Theft by Russ Freeman

Ineffective when locking the Honda remote control. Plain tinfoil works better

After my car alarm went off again when my remote was pushed into my pocket, I got these key fobs to block the RFID signal. They're about 3" x 4" so my remote easily fits in. They attach with velcro and have a small spring loaded catch so I can attach them to another key ring. As I stood in my house about 30 feet from the car, my mere key fob made the car respond. When I sealed it in one of those bags the machine was still responding so they didn't block the signal. I wanted to wrap my bare key fob in aluminum foil and put it in my pocket and the machine stopped responding, but then I left my key fob wrapped in a single layer of foil instead of in the RFID pocket and the machine still responded. do not answer. So the foil blocked the signal from my car remote, but these Faraday bags didn't.

Pros
  • Anti-theft device
Cons
  • Everything's OK
