Seems to be a great flashlight at first. I bought it about two years ago to replace a different brand microphone. The lighting isn't a problem, although it's a little awkward - like they could have come up with a better design. But my biggest problem started about six months ago. It squirted like crazy when I tried to refill the butane. At first I thought I was stuck. But before trying to clean the inlet nozzle, I figured I'd try butane again. I've been using and refilling this burner for about a year, not every day but enough times to get used to it. And not so often that the thing wears out. So I tried refilling again. Nothing but a hiss. Butane is splattering everywhere. So I tried to clean the intake manifold, or whatever it's called. I took my time, used a very thin needle and did my best. However, you can't tell for sure if you're helping or hurting. In my case, I didn't do either. Since then, the torch has not been able to hold butane. I've tried different brands of butane and thought it might be the nozzle size. But no luck. I end up using a ton of butane to fill it up because most of it spills out. I would buy a different flashlight but to be honest I have no idea what brand to buy. You'd think Bernzomatic could make a neat little flashlight. This is really unforgivable. If only there was a way to take it apart and check for clogs, but I can't. It doesn't leak, it just doesn't absorb butane like it should. Is the inside of the nozzle bent or something? I do not know! It makes it worse! I had to put a special hook on the side so I could fill it up without spilling butane. What a waste. I'd like to know how other people deal with this - I've seen in reviews of various brands of mini flashlights that filling can be an issue. Why can't these designers/manufacturers work together? We don't want our products to last 100 years, but what about 10 or 15 years? It is too much? There are some butane refills that will not work at all with this nozzle. In fact it is recommended to check the nozzle size before buying butane as I faced this problem once too.
