First, they mislead the holding power. Fine print is 1 psi. (The £15 claim is odd as there are 20 square inches of Velcro). I put about 10 pounds of velcro on the smooth wall. Total weight was about 5 pounds. They got wet (they're an OUTDOOR size, that seems to be expected) and half of them started falling off the wall after a day. The water clearly entered from behind and severely weakened the connection. I can say I've had better luck with the durable 3M where both sides have plastic teeth. Velcro probably has no choice but to use their furry material. Speaking of 3M, I suspect command strips would work better than these. Now I applied all-purpose glue as a replacement.
